Rachel’s Vineyard
at Doylestown
Rachel's Vineyard is the world's largest ministry for post-abortion healing, offering confidential weekend retreats for women, men, and anyone affected by abortion. Founded by Dr. Theresa Burke, PhD, this retreat model uses a combination of scripture-based spiritual exercises, emotional processing, and psychological support throughout the weekend. This confidential weekend format is led by trained teams including licensed mental health counselors and ordained clergy.
This retreat initially began with supporting only women but over time it was realized that men who lost fatherhood as well as grandparents, siblings, and former abortion workers also joined us in seeking healing. Our Rachel's Vineyard location in Doylestown, Pennsylvania also welcomes anyone who is suffering from any traumatic pregnancy loss to include miscarriage.
The Rachel's Vineyard Retreat in Doylestown, Pennsylvania is located on the beautiful grounds of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa. Our retreats provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space to process and reconcile painful post-abortive and traumatic PTSD emotions from the loss of a preborn child.
Come and renew, rebuild, and redeem your hearts from the painful emotions and trauma of your past. Our team is expecting you.

The name comes from the bible in Jeremiah 31:15-17. “A voice is heard in Ramah, lamenting and weeping bitterly: it is Rachel weeping for her children, because they are no more. Cease your cries of mourning, wipe the tears from your eyes, the sorrow you have shown shall have its reward, says the Lord. There is hope for your future, says the Lord.”
Our founder, Dr. Theresa Burke, feels that this particular scripture expresses the hearts of those who grieve for their lost children.

Dr. Theresa Burke of the Philadelphia area of Pennsylvania is the founder of Rachel’s Vineyard. She began offering weekend retreats in 1995. Without a budget, office or advertising, Rachel’s Vineyard became a grassroots outreach. By word of mouth only, the retreats began to spread across the country due to their dramatic effectiveness. From 18 retreats in 1999, to hundreds now held annually worldwide, it is estimated that over 250,000 people around the world have participated in a Rachel’s Vineyard Retreat
